Maybe if we sang a little louder

The mistake in the messaging might be the idea that desire matters. That if you want something enough, then as follows, it is yours.

The cosmic giggle echoes – it is heard by only one.

The idea that maybe we can want our way into happiness. That we can attain ourselves into actualization. Of the god who watches, judges and rewards. That, once true to our desire, we will find our way to achieving.

If not through desire then how? As always we focus on finding the answers to a fundamentally flawed question. As if purpose is not another abstraction we place on the already abstract and call order.

Laughing a little harder, a god smiles to itself smiling to itself.

Yet still desire is all we have. The things we seek define us as much as those who choose to ignore. So we move blinded by hope, baring our souls to stones and wondering why they won’t applaud our sonnet.
